Indore's excise officials seized a container holding 470 cartons of illegal liquor, amounting to 4,151 bulk litres, on the Kanadia‑Bicholi Hapsi Service Road bypass. The confiscated stock is estimated to be worth around ₹5 million.
The liquor, originally intended for sale in Chandigarh, was intercepted as part of an inter‑state trafficking operation. Authorities say the shipment was being moved through Madhya Pradesh to evade detection before reaching its final market.
