Police in Indore arrested four more suspects, including Saumya Preet Shinde, bringing the total number of arrests to 12 in a case that uncovered an international gambling network through the mobile of Jeetu Patwari’s brother.
Indore police have expanded a recent crackdown on an international betting operation after tracing the network to a mobile phone belonging to the brother of local political figure Jeetu Patwari. The investigation led to the arrest of four additional suspects, among them Saumya Preet Shinde, who is alleged to have supplied the betting application and identification details.
With these arrests, the total number of people taken into custody rises to twelve. Authorities have formally charged the accused under sections of the Information Technology Act and for running an organized betting syndicate, indicating the scale and cross‑border nature of the illegal activity.
