The three‑day literary festival began today in Indore, featuring debates on artificial intelligence, women’s expression and fresh takes on mythic narratives.
Indore witnessed the grand inauguration of a three‑day literary festival on Monday, drawing some of the nation’s most respected writers and poets. The event, hosted in the city’s cultural hub, aims to explore contemporary currents shaping Indian literature.
Day one’s programme placed artificial intelligence at the forefront, with panelists examining how AI tools are reshaping the writing process, editorial decisions and readership expectations. Participants shared both enthusiasm for new creative possibilities and caution about preserving literary authenticity.
A parallel session highlighted women’s voices, offering a platform for female authors to discuss gendered narratives, representation and the evolving role of women in Indian letters. Discussions also delved into mythic reinterpretations, where writers presented modern retellings of ancient stories, often blending prose and poetry to create hybrid forms.
Organisers said the festival will continue for two more days, featuring additional workshops, book launches and performances that reflect the diverse tapestry of India’s literary landscape.
