Indore, Jabalpur, Bhopal rank among India's top four cleanest cities in 2026 Survey

The Clean Air Survey 2026 has placed three cities from Madhya Pradesh—Indore, Jabalpur and Bhopal—within the top four cleanest urban centres in the country. The ranking reflects recent improvements in air quality monitoring and pollution control measures undertaken by the state governments. According to the survey, these cities outperformed many metropolitan areas traditionally known for better air standards. Officials from the Ministry of Environment welcomed the results, noting that sustained efforts are required to maintain and further improve air quality across India.
