Food safety officials in Indore seized 1,750 liters of ghee from Maan Baglamukhi Enterprises and sent 18 samples of Muthan and Shri Anand brand ghee from Gujarat for testing, valuing the seized stock at ₹6.8 lakh.

Indore, Madhya Pradesh – Food safety officials seized 1,750 liters of ghee from Maan Baglamukhi Enterprises located at Scheme No. 51. The seizure was part of a joint operation by the Food Safety Department and local authorities.

The seized ghee, valued at approximately ₹6.8 lakh, was found to be from the Muthan and Shri Anand brands, which were imported from Gujarat. The officials also collected 18 samples for laboratory testing to verify quality and compliance with food safety standards.

Authorities said the samples will be examined for adulteration, contamination, and labeling accuracy. The findings will determine whether the products meet the regulatory norms set by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India.

The operation underscores the vigilance of food safety agencies in preventing the circulation of potentially unsafe food products in the market. Maan Baglamukhi Enterprises has not yet issued a statement regarding the seizure.
