An IndiGo aircraft returning from a scheduled flight made an emergency landing at Goa airport after one of its engines failed, with all passengers and crew reported safe.

A domestic IndiGo flight was forced to turn back and land at Dabolim Airport in Goa after the pilots reported a malfunction in one of the aircraft's engines. The incident occurred shortly after the aircraft took off, prompting the crew to declare an emergency and execute a precautionary landing.

Airport officials confirmed that the plane touched down safely and that no injuries were reported among the roughly 150 passengers and crew on board. Emergency services were on standby, but were not required to intervene beyond standard post‑landing checks.

IndiGo released a brief statement saying the aircraft is undergoing a thorough technical inspection and that the airline is cooperating with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for a detailed investigation. The airline assured passengers that any affected schedules would be rebooked at no extra cost.

The swift handling of the situation highlighted the preparedness of both the airline and Goa's airport authorities in managing in‑flight emergencies, reinforcing confidence in India's aviation safety standards.
