An IndiGo flight destined for Dubai was pulled back to the apron at Kolkata airport before take‑off, and passenger Asha Rajendran Krishna Moorti was handed over to police authorities.
The pilot of an IndiGo aircraft scheduled to fly from Kolkata to Dubai halted the departure shortly before the scheduled take‑off. Instead of proceeding, the crew taxied the plane back to the parking apron, effectively canceling the flight at that moment.
Security personnel then removed a female passenger identified as Asha Rajendran Krishna Moorti from the aircraft. She was escorted to a police officer on the tarmac and placed under custody for further questioning.
Airline officials confirmed that the incident is being investigated in coordination with local law‑enforcement agencies. No further details about the cause of the detention have been released, and the airline has not announced a revised departure time for the affected flight.
