India's First Female Fighter Combat Leader: Bhavna Kant Makes History

Bhavna Kant, a squadron leader stationed at the Tactical Air Command Development Establishment (TACDE) in Gwalior, has become the first woman in India to hold the rank of fighter combat leader. The milestone was achieved after she successfully completed the Fighter Combat Leader (FCL) course. Following her certification, she was invited to meet the Chief of Air Staff. The meeting was a formal acknowledgment of her historic accomplishment. Her achievement is seen as a breakthrough for women in the Indian Air Force and may pave the way for more female officers to take on combat leadership roles.
