The government has announced plans to create India's inaugural electric truck corridor along the NH-66 stretch in Kerala, aiming to boost green logistics.
New Delhi announced that a dedicated electric truck corridor will be established on the coastal NH-66 stretch in Kerala, marking the first such initiative in the country. The move is part of a broader strategy to promote low‑emission freight transport and reduce dependence on diesel-powered trucks.
The corridor will run along the existing national highway, leveraging its connectivity between major ports and inland destinations.
