Indian student groups staged a protest in London against the Central Election Commission and SIR, while supporters of the government organized a counter‑demonstration.
On a recent day, a group of Indian students gathered outside the British High Commission in London to protest against the Central Election Commission (CEC) and the SIR, demanding greater transparency in the electoral process.
The demonstrators carried placards with slogans such as "Free and Fair Elections" and "Accountability for CEC", and chanted for reforms in the Indian electoral system.
Police officers were present to maintain order, and the protest lasted for about two hours before dispersing peacefully.
In response, a group of government supporters staged a counter‑demonstration on the same street, chanting pro‑government slogans and urging unity with the ruling party.
