Law enforcement agencies dismantled a large tiger trafficking network spanning Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan, with a Delhi-based NGO also under scrutiny.

On a coordinated operation, police from Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan dismantled a sprawling tiger trafficking ring that had been smuggling tiger skins and body parts across state borders. The network had been operating for years, exploiting loopholes in wildlife protection laws and using clandestine routes to transport illegal wildlife products. Delhi authorities seized evidence linking a local non‑governmental organization to the trafficking activities, prompting a thorough investigation into its role. Authorities recovered a cache of tiger skins, bones and other parts, and arrested several suspects who are now facing charges under the Wildlife (Protection) Act.
