A 22-day wait continues for the family of Sukhwant Singh, who died of a heart attack in Rome on June 10, as his body remains unclaimed in an Italian mortuary due to financial difficulties.

The body of Sukhwant Singh, a resident of Ramsinghpur in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar district, has been in a mortuary in Rome, Italy, for 22 days following his death on June 10. Singh reportedly passed away due to a heart attack.

Singh had traveled abroad using the 'Donkey Route,' a clandestine and often perilous method of illegal immigration. His family in India is facing severe financial constraints, making it impossible for them to arrange for the repatriation of his body.

The prolonged delay has left his mother longing for a final glimpse of her son. The family's inability to bear the costs associated with bringing the body back to India highlights the challenges faced by many families dealing with the loss of loved ones abroad.
