The central government has announced comprehensive backing for the Boxing Federation of India and its athletes as they prepare for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
New Delhi – The Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports said on Monday that it will extend full governmental support to the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) and the country's boxing contingent ahead of the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
The assistance will include increased funding for training camps, access to state‑of‑the‑art facilities, and the appointment of additional technical staff to work with athletes in preparation for the Games.
Officials said the move aims to build on the momentum generated by recent successes at the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games, with the goal of securing medals for India in Los Angeles.
