Indian Foreign Secretary Visits Colombo for One-Day Diplomatic Mission

India's Foreign Secretary arrived in Colombo on Monday for a brief one-day visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.
Indian Foreign Secretary R. K. Singh arrived in Colombo on Monday morning, landing at Bandaranaike International Airport and proceeding to the Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The visit, lasting only a day, was aimed at discussing trade, security cooperation and regional connectivity with Sri Lankan counterparts.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the Indo-Pacific strategy and highlighted joint efforts to counter maritime piracy and promote sustainable tourism.
The Secretary also briefed Sri Lankan officials on upcoming cultural exchange programs and expressed readiness for further collaboration on climate resilience initiatives.
