Indian Envoy to Canada Says Peaceful Khalistan Stir Is Acceptable

The Indian High Commission in Ottawa said its envoy to Canada has expressed that a non‑violent Khalistan movement is acceptable, provided it remains peaceful. He underscored that while India opposes any separatist agenda, it respects the right of individuals to voice their opinions without resort to violence. The statement was made as pro‑Khalistan rallies have been held in several Canadian cities, drawing attention from both Indian and Canadian authorities. The envoy urged the diaspora to pursue their concerns through democratic channels and assured cooperation with local law enforcement to maintain public order.
