As part of its continued commitment to humanitarian assistance and community welfare, Spear Corps, under the aegis of the Indian Army, organised a medical camp at Nongada Relief Camp to extend essential healthcare services to the residents and address their immediate medical requirements.
During the camp, the Regimental Medical Officer (RMO) conducted medical examinations, assessed the health conditions of the residents and provided medical consultations. Essential medicines were also distributed based on individual medical requirements, ensuring timely medical assistance and improved access to basic healthcare facilities for the residents of the relief camp.
Approximately 150 residents, including 64 men and 86 women, benefited from the initiative. The camp provided an opportunity for residents to seek medical advice, receive necessary treatment and address their health concerns. It also reinforced the importance of preventive healthcare and personal well-being.
The camp concluded with the distribution of refreshments to all residents, providing an opportunity for interaction and engagement with the local population.
The initiative reaffirms the Indian Army’s commitment to standing alongside the local population, extending humanitarian assistance and addressing community needs. Such endeavours continue to strengthen the bond of trust, goodwill and mutual understanding between the Indian Army and the local community.
