India has dispatched a consignment of anti-tuberculosis medicines to Sri Lanka to support the island nation's TB control efforts. The shipment was arranged under bilateral health cooperation.
The medicines were handed over to Sri Lankan health officials at a ceremony in Colombo, according to sources. India said the consignment includes first-line and second-line anti-TB drugs aimed at strengthening Sri Lanka's national tuberculosis programme.
Officials from both countries highlighted the longstanding collaboration in the health sector, noting that India has previously provided medical aid and technical support to Sri Lanka during health crises.
