India secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan following a commanding 170-run victory in the second match, highlighted by centuries from Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan.
The Indian cricket team registered a comprehensive 170-run win over Afghanistan in the second One Day International (ODI) to clinch the series. This dominant performance gives the hosts an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match contest.
Key to India's imposing total were brilliant centuries from opening batsmen Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan. Their significant partnership laid a strong foundation, enabling India to post a challenging score on the board. Afghanistan's batting lineup struggled to keep pace with the required run rate and ultimately fell short by a substantial margin.
With the series already decided, the focus now shifts to the final ODI, where India will be aiming to complete a clean sweep against the visiting Afghan side.
