India Orders Closure of Flying Schools in 7 States Ahead of BRICS Summit

Indian authorities have directed flying schools in seven states to cease operations as part of preparations for the 2026 BRICS summit.
Indian aviation regulators announced today that all flying schools operating in seven states must halt training activities immediately.
The directive, issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, comes as the country gears up to host the 2026 BRICS summit in New Delhi.
Officials said the move aims to reduce air traffic congestion and ensure safety around the summit venue.
The schools affected include those in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, and the order will remain in force until the summit concludes.
