India and Italy have established a joint technology task force and agreed to develop an AI‑driven global digital defence corridor to curb international cyber fraud and online banking hacks.

India and Italy have announced the creation of a joint technology task force aimed at strengthening cyber security cooperation between the two nations. The agreement focuses on sharing expertise, intelligence and best practices to counter emerging cyber threats.

The primary objective of the task force is to prevent international cyber fraud and online banking hacking incidents that have increasingly affected users in both countries. By pooling resources and knowledge, the two governments intend to reduce the frequency and impact of such attacks.

A key component of the partnership is the development of an AI‑based global digital defence corridor. This corridor will leverage advanced artificial intelligence to detect, analyze and neutralise cyber threats in real time across international networks.

The collaboration marks a significant step in India’s broader cyber security strategy and underscores Italy’s commitment to global cyber resilience. Both countries have pledged to continue expanding the initiative and to engage other partners in future phases.
