India has stepped up its drug enforcement efforts, aiming to protect young people and dismantle criminal networks involved in drug trafficking.
In recent months, the government has increased its focus on combating drug trafficking across the country, with a particular emphasis on safeguarding the nation's youth.
The crackdown involves coordinated operations between national and state police forces, intelligence agencies, and other law‑enforcement bodies.
Officials say the strategy targets key nodes in drug distribution networks, aiming to disrupt supply chains and reduce access to illicit substances among young people.
While details of specific arrests and seizures remain limited, authorities have announced that the initiative will continue to expand, with a commitment to long‑term prevention and rehabilitation programs.
