The Centre has rolled out cooperative reforms across the country, with 235 public audit and control systems (PACS) in Jammu and Kashmir already functioning as e-PACS.
The Ministry of Panchayati Raj announced that cooperative reforms are being expanded nationwide, aiming to modernise and digitise cooperative institutions.
As part of the initiative, 235 public audit and control systems (PACS) in Jammu and Kashmir have been upgraded to e-PACS, enabling real‑time monitoring and transparency.
Officials said the move will streamline operations, reduce paperwork and improve accountability across the cooperative sector.
The rollout is expected to serve as a model for other states, reinforcing the government's focus on digital governance and cooperative development.
