The Indian armed forces launched the PRAGATI 2026 exercise, involving twelve friendly countries to enhance interoperability and combat readiness.
The Ministry of Defence announced that the PRAGATI 2026 joint military exercise began today, drawing participation from twelve friendly nations. The drill is being conducted to sharpen interoperability among the forces and to simulate combined operations across land, air and maritime domains.
Live‑fire drills, command‑post simulations and humanitarian assistance scenarios are part of the programme, allowing troops to practice coordinated responses under realistic conditions.
India's Defence Minister highlighted that the exercise reflects New Delhi's commitment to regional stability and multilateral defence cooperation. The exercise is slated to run for two weeks, after which a joint assessment will be compiled.
