Work on digital fencing along the India-Pakistan border in Punjab has commenced, aiming to curb infiltration and smuggling even in darkness.
Authorities have launched the installation of digital fencing along the India-Pakistan international border in Punjab. The work, confirmed by local sources, marks the first phase of a modern surveillance barrier aimed at enhancing border security.
The primary objective of the digital fencing is to keep a close watch on attempts of infiltration and smuggling across the border. Officials say the system will enable real-time monitoring of suspicious activities.
Officials noted that the digital fencing remains effective even in low-light conditions, ensuring continuous surveillance during night hours. The initiative is expected to strengthen the overall security apparatus along the sensitive frontier.
