India and UAE Launch Joint Mountain Warfare Exercise in Uttarakhand

India and the United Arab Emirates have begun a joint military exercise in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand, with a focus on mountain warfare. The drills aim to enhance interoperability between the two armed forces in high‑altitude terrain. Officials said the exercise will cover tactical maneuvers, communication drills and survival training in rugged conditions. The initiative follows growing defence cooperation between the two countries and is expected to strengthen strategic ties. The exercise is scheduled to run for several weeks, with units from both nations participating in field operations across Uttarakhand’s mountainous regions.
