India and Romania Seek Comprehensive Partnership During President Murmu's State Visit

President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Romania for a state visit aimed at deepening bilateral relations. During her trip, she met with Romanian officials to discuss expanding cooperation in trade, technology, agriculture and defense. The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted that India and Romania are working towards a comprehensive partnership that will include joint ventures, research collaborations and cultural exchanges. Both sides expressed optimism about signing several memoranda of understanding to formalise the new cooperation framework. The visit is expected to boost economic ties and open new markets for Indian businesses in Eastern Europe.
