India and Italy have agreed to strengthen joint efforts against terrorism, organised crime and emerging security threats.

New Delhi – The governments of India and Italy announced a renewed partnership aimed at countering terrorism, organised crime and other emerging security challenges. The two nations said they will enhance intelligence sharing, coordinate law‑enforcement operations and conduct joint training exercises to better address trans‑national threats.

Both sides highlighted the growing complexity of criminal networks that operate across borders, emphasizing the need for coordinated diplomatic and operational responses. The agreement also calls for regular high‑level dialogues to monitor progress and adapt strategies as new threats arise.

Officials from the ministries of external affairs and defence in both countries underscored that the cooperation builds on existing frameworks and reflects a shared commitment to safeguarding regional stability and global peace.
