The INDIA alliance's intended protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar has been called off, marking a setback to its mobilisation strategy.
The political coalition known as the INDIA alliance announced a plan to stage a demonstration at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, but the initiative has now collapsed. Sources close to the alliance said the decision to call off the protest was taken after internal deliberations, though no official reason has been disclosed.
Jantar Mantar has long served as a focal point for public demonstrations in the capital, hosting rallies on a range of national issues. The cancellation of the INDIA alliance's gathering removes a high‑visibility platform that the coalition hoped to use to rally supporters and draw media attention.
Political analysts note that the setback could affect the alliance's ability to project unity ahead of upcoming electoral contests, but they also caution that the coalition may explore alternative venues for future mobilisations.
