Independent legislator Ravindra Singh Bhatia reached Jodhpur late at night to press for practical changes in EWS reservation rules, where he was greeted with a flower shower from a JCB vehicle and youth supporters stayed till dawn.
Independent MLA Ravindra Singh Bhatia arrived in Jodhpur late on Thursday night as part of his campaign to simplify the existing Economic Weaker Section (EWS) reservation guidelines. The journey, organized by local supporters, aims to highlight practical amendments that would make the reservation process more accessible for eligible citizens.
Upon reaching the city, Bhatia was welcomed by a group of young activists who had gathered near the venue. In a symbolic gesture, a JCB vehicle stationed at the site released a shower of flowers onto the legislator, marking a festive yet politically charged reception.
The youth participants remained at the site well into the early hours, underscoring their commitment to the cause and signaling sustained grassroots pressure on the state government to consider the proposed reforms.
Bhatia, who contests elections as an independent, has repeatedly called for a review of the EWS quota to eliminate procedural bottlenecks. His Jodhpur visit is the latest effort to mobilise public opinion ahead of upcoming legislative discussions on reservation policy.
