The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall in isolated parts of Uttarakhand, with thunderstorms and strong winds expected across the hilly terrain.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather outlook indicating heavy rainfall in isolated pockets of Uttarakhand. The forecast also highlights the likelihood of thunderstorms and strong gusts in the state's hilly regions.
Authorities have been advised to monitor the situation closely, as the combination of intense rain and wind can increase the risk of landslides and flash floods in vulnerable zones. Local disaster management teams are on standby to respond to any emergencies that may arise.
Residents in the affected areas are urged to stay updated through official channels, avoid unnecessary travel in exposed locations, and take precautionary measures such as securing loose objects and clearing drainage pathways.
The IMD will continue to update its forecasts as conditions evolve, and the public is encouraged to follow advisories issued by state and district officials.
