A yellow warning is the second level of alert in IMD’s system, advising that rainfall could reach 50–100 mm per day and may lead to localized flooding, traffic disruptions and power outages.
Meteorologists predict a low‑pressure system moving from the Arabian Sea to bring intense showers, especially during the night and early morning hours.
Residents and commuters are urged to stay updated via official weather bulletins, avoid unnecessary travel and keep emergency supplies ready.
Local authorities have already mobilised flood control teams and are monitoring river levels in the region.
