The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across fifteen states, urging residents to stay alert.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) released a weather warning today indicating the likelihood of intense rain and thunderstorm activity across fifteen states of the country. Meteorologists anticipate that the systems could bring sudden downpours, strong gusts and lightning, potentially disrupting daily life and transport.
Authorities in the affected regions have been advised to monitor the situation closely and to activate emergency response protocols where necessary. Local administrations are expected to issue specific advisories for schools, public gatherings and road travel.
Residents are urged to stay informed through official channels, avoid low‑lying areas prone to flooding, and secure outdoor objects that could become hazardous in high winds. The IMD will continue to update forecasts as the weather pattern evolves.
