The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) has teamed up with the Andhra Pradesh government to develop hospitality skills and promote the state's culinary traditions.

The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) announced a formal partnership with the Andhra Pradesh government aimed at strengthening hospitality education across the state. The collaboration was unveiled in a joint press conference, where officials highlighted the need for skilled manpower to support the region's growing tourism sector.

Under the agreement, IIHM will design and deliver specialized training modules focusing on hotel operations, food and beverage management, and front‑office services. The curriculum will be tailored to incorporate modern industry standards, and scholarships will be offered to meritorious students from Andhra Pradesh.

A key component of the initiative is the promotion of Andhra Pradesh's rich culinary heritage. The program will feature hands‑on workshops on regional dishes, encouraging trainees to master local flavors and present them to a broader audience. This effort aligns with the state's strategy to position its cuisine as a tourism draw.

Officials expect the partnership to generate hundreds of new jobs, improve employability for youth, and enhance the overall quality of hospitality services in the state. The rollout of the first training batches is slated for the upcoming academic year, with plans to expand to additional districts thereafter.
