The Madhya Pradesh government has transferred 23 IAS officers, naming Aditya Singh as the new collector of Balaghat district. His appointment follows earlier controversies, including the tragic death of 32 children in Bega.

Bhopal, Oct 14 (ANI) – The state administration of Madhya Pradesh announced a fresh batch of 23 IAS transfers, appointing Aditya Singh as the collector of Balaghat district. The posting comes as part of a routine reshuffle aimed at strengthening district-level governance.

Aditya Singh's name has surfaced in media reports previously, notably after the tragic incident in Bega where 32 children lost their lives. While the official reasons for his transfer were not disclosed, the timing has drawn attention given his past involvement in that controversy.

Balaghat, a district in southeastern Madhya Pradesh, faces challenges ranging from agricultural distress to infrastructure development. The new collector is expected to oversee ongoing projects and address local administrative concerns.

State officials confirmed that the transfers were decided by the Chief Minister's office and are effective immediately. No further comment was provided on Singh's prior controversies or the Bega incident.

The appointment underscores the government's continued effort to rotate senior officers across districts to bring fresh perspectives to local administration.
