A Hyderabad man has gained online attention for leaving a coveted Amazon position to become an Uber driver, stating he finds fulfillment in exploring the city and meeting new people.

A professional in Hyderabad has opted for a career change that has captured public interest, choosing to leave a well-regarded job at Amazon to drive for Uber. The individual, identified as Kumar, stated that his decision stems from a desire to experience the city and interact with its residents on a daily basis.

Kumar reportedly quit his corporate role in 2014, around the time Uber launched in Hyderabad. He has since completed nearly 23,600 rides, maintaining a high rating and expressing continued enjoyment in his current profession. His primary motivation, he explained, is the opportunity to explore Hyderabad and connect with its people.

The story gained traction after a passenger, software developer Chetna Singh, shared her conversation with Kumar online. Singh highlighted Kumar's perspective as an inspiration, noting that his choice prioritizes personal happiness and passion over conventional markers of success, which she found particularly noteworthy in the Indian context.
