The Himachal Pradesh High Court has dismissed the petition filed by Ram Lal Thakur challenging Randhir Sharma’s election win from the Naina Devi constituency.

The Himachal Pradesh High Court has dismissed the petition filed by Ram Lal Thakur contesting the election result of the Naina Devi assembly seat, where candidate Randhir Sharma was declared the winner. The court held that the petition did not present sufficient grounds to overturn the Election Commission’s declaration and therefore upheld the original result. As a result, Sharma will retain his seat in the state legislative assembly, and Thakur’s legal challenge ends unless he seeks further recourse in the Supreme Court. The judgment adds to a series of post‑election litigations that have been heard across the state since the recent polls.
