The Telangana State Election Commission (SEC) has made the draft electoral roll for the Scheduled Indian and Scheduled Tribe (SIR) categories available on its official website. Voters can now log in using their Aadhaar number or voter ID to confirm whether their names appear in the draft list before the final roll is published.
To access the portal, users must visit the SEC's dedicated page, select the 'SIR Draft Roll' option, and enter the required details such as name, constituency, and identification number. The system then displays the relevant entry, if present, along with the serial number and polling station information.
The online verification aims to increase transparency and allow citizens to raise objections or corrections well before the final roll is frozen. The SEC has urged eligible voters to check the draft roll promptly and submit any discrepancies through the prescribed online grievance mechanism.
The deadline for submitting objections is set for two weeks after the roll is published, after which the final electoral roll will be prepared for upcoming elections in the state.
