Harmanpreet Singh, the captain of the Indian men's hockey team, praised the atmosphere at the recent match in Jalandhar, calling the crowd's energy "electrifying." He highlighted that playing in front of a home audience adds a distinct emotional boost for the players, enhancing their performance and morale.

Singh noted that the enthusiasm of the Jalandhar supporters created a pressure-free yet motivating environment, allowing the team to focus on their game plan.
Such positive feedback underscores the importance of regional fan bases in Indian hockey, especially as the sport seeks to expand its reach beyond traditional strongholds. Officials hope that the momentum generated by events like this will encourage greater youth participation across Punjab.
