In Himachal Pradesh, police have traced 89% of missing persons in a nine‑month period, according to a recent report.
The figure reflects the department’s intensified efforts to improve missing‑person investigations across the state.
While the majority of cases have been resolved, the remaining 11% remain unsolved and families continue to seek updates.
Authorities say the success is due to better coordination between local police stations and the state’s missing‑persons registry.
The police are working to close the remaining cases and encourage citizens to report missing persons promptly.
