A delegation from Himachal Pradesh visited the International Solar Alliance Research Centre (ISARC) to examine innovations aimed at enhancing climate resilience.

A high‑level team from the Himachal Pradesh government arrived at the International Solar Alliance Research Centre (ISARC) to explore the latest climate‑resilient solutions being developed under the Alliance. The visit, scheduled for early October, was part of the state’s effort to identify technologies that can mitigate the impacts of erratic weather patterns in the mountainous region.

During the tour, officials were briefed on a range of innovations, including solar‑powered irrigation systems, low‑carbon building materials and advanced weather‑forecasting tools. ISARC’s researchers demonstrated prototypes designed to reduce water loss, improve energy efficiency and strengthen community preparedness for extreme events.

The Himachal delegation indicated that the insights gathered could inform pilot projects back home, particularly in vulnerable districts prone to landslides and drought. Both sides expressed interest in formalising a collaborative framework that would allow the state to test and adapt the showcased technologies.

State officials said the engagement aligns with Himachal Pradesh’s broader climate‑action agenda, which seeks to integrate renewable energy and resilient infrastructure into its development plans. The visit marks a concrete step toward leveraging national research capacity for local climate adaptation.
