The governor of Himachal Pradesh has formed selection panels to appoint Vice Chancellors for the universities in Palampur and Nauni, aiming to streamline the appointment process.
The governor of Himachal Pradesh announced the creation of two independent panels tasked with selecting the Vice Chancellors for the universities located in Palampur and Nauni.
Each panel will review applications, conduct interviews, and evaluate the qualifications of candidates before recommending suitable individuals to the governor.
The decision follows a period of delays in filling the VC positions at both institutions, which has affected administrative continuity.
The panels are expected to submit their final recommendations within a set timeframe, after which the governor will formalise the appointments.
