He highlighted that the steep slopes and narrow valleys of Himachal make it especially vulnerable to landslides, flash floods and sudden weather changes, which have historically caused loss of life and property.
The CM urged the state government and meteorological authorities to invest in advanced forecasting tools, real‑time monitoring stations and efficient communication channels so that residents receive timely alerts.
Officials have said they will review the CM’s recommendations and explore collaborations with national agencies to strengthen disaster preparedness across the state.
