Himachal BJP bolsters grassroots with ex‑servicemen and sports cell appointments

The Bharatiya Janata Party's Himachal Pradesh unit disclosed a series of new appointments aimed at deepening its reach at the village and block levels. Among the newly named functionaries are several ex‑servicemen, chosen for their organisational discipline and local credibility. The party also created a dedicated sports cell, installing officials tasked with mobilising athletes and sports clubs across the state. Party officials said the move is intended to broaden the BJP's appeal among youth and defence‑related communities, while reinforcing its on‑ground cadre. The appointments are expected to be operational within weeks, with the new members coordinating local campaigns and community outreach programs.
