The Jabalpur High Court has denied bail to former judge Giribala Singh in the Tavis Sharma suicide case after the CBI opposed the petition, requesting a written objection within a week.
The Jabalpur High Court has rejected the bail petition filed by former district and sessions judge Giribala Singh, who is accused in the Tavis Sharma suicide case. Singh’s petition was submitted after the case was transferred to the High Court following the CBI’s intervention. The Central Bureau of Investigation opposed the bail request, filing a written objection and demanding a week to submit its formal response. In light of the CBI’s objection, the court has stayed the bail application and directed that the matter be considered only after the objection is filed. The case will now proceed with the High Court awaiting the CBI’s formal objection before any further bail decision can be made.
