Continuous heavy rainfall in Madhya Pradesh has caused the Shipra River to overflow, submerging temples at Ramghat in Ujjain. In a separate incident in Badnagar, a Gram Panchayat assistant secretary was swept away with his motorcycle while crossing a swollen bridge.

Heavy monsoon rains have significantly impacted parts of Madhya Pradesh, with Ujjain, Dewas, and Indore facing deteriorating conditions due to the downpour. The Shipra River is currently in spate, leading to widespread inundation.

At the famous Ramghat in Ujjain, several temples have been submerged as the river's water level rose alarmingly. This marks a severe disruption for the city's religious and cultural heart.

In a distressing development in Badnagar, a Gram Panchayat assistant secretary was reportedly swept away. The incident occurred as the official attempted to cross a bridge that had been overwhelmed by the fast-flowing river, taking his motorcycle with him.
