Intense overnight rain on Friday night caused waterlogging in several localities of Satna district, with waist‑deep water in parts of Birasinhpur and flooding reported in Kotar and Nagod.

In Birasinhpur, several neighbourhoods reported water levels reaching up to the waist, while a few homes experienced water ingress. Similar water‑logging was observed in the towns of Kotar and Nagod, where low‑lying streets remained submerged.
The district’s meteorological office has issued a flood alert for the next five days, urging residents to stay vigilant and avoid travelling through flooded routes. Local authorities are monitoring the situation and have begun preliminary relief measures where possible.
