Intense rainfall has hit Bastar district, leading to waterlogging and disruptions across the region.
Heavy rain continued to batter Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, causing widespread waterlogging on roads and low‑lying areas. Residents reported that several villages were cut off as streams overflowed, and local markets experienced a slowdown due to the downpour.
The district administration has issued advisories urging people to avoid non‑essential travel and to stay alert for sudden flash floods. Rescue teams and police patrols have been deployed near vulnerable spots to assist anyone stranded and to maintain public order.
