Torrential rain across Delhi and the National Capital Region forced many offices and schools in Gurgaon to move to work‑from‑home arrangements, officials said.
Heavy rain swept through Delhi and the surrounding National Capital Region on Monday, bringing down water levels on roads and causing localized flooding in low‑lying areas. Meteorological departments recorded rainfall exceeding 50 mm in parts of the city, prompting the issuance of a red alert for the region.
In response, several corporate offices and educational institutions in Gurgaon shifted to work‑from‑home mode to safeguard staff and students from the worsening conditions.
