Heavy Rain Alerts for Five Madhya Pradesh Districts, Heavy Rain Warning for 20 More

The weather department has issued an extreme rain alert for Tikamgarh, Damoh, Narsinghpur, Betul and Rajgarh, while 20 other districts in Madhya Pradesh are under a heavy‑rain warning.
The state’s meteorological office warned that Tuesday will see intense rainfall across central Madhya Pradesh. An "extremely heavy" rain alert has been declared for the districts of Tikamgarh, Damoh, Narsinghpur, Betul and Rajgarh, signalling the likelihood of downpours exceeding 100 mm in 24 hours.
In addition, a heavy‑rain warning covers twenty other districts, including the capital Bhopal, where officials anticipate strong showers that could disrupt traffic and daily activities. Residents have been urged to stay alert, avoid low‑lying areas, and secure loose objects that could become hazards in high winds.
Authorities have readied emergency response teams and are monitoring river levels to pre‑empt flooding. The public is advised to follow updates from the district disaster management cells and heed any evacuation orders should water levels rise unexpectedly.
