Health dept seals polyclinic in Shahdol over allopathic treatment under homeopathic licence

Madhya Pradesh health officials have sealed a polyclinic in Shahdol after complaints that it was providing allopathic treatment while operating under a homeopathic registration.
A health department team in Madhya Pradesh conducted an inspection at the Bardgaiya polyclinic located in the Budhar area of Shahdol district. The inspection was prompted by local complaints that the clinic, registered as a homeopathic practice, was delivering allopathic medicines and treatments to patients.
During the raid, officials verified that the facility was indeed offering allopathic drugs, which is prohibited under a homeopathic licence. Based on the findings, the department ordered the immediate sealing of the clinic to halt its operations.
The health authorities emphasized that the action underscores strict enforcement of the Medical Council of India’s regulations governing alternative medicine practices. They indicated that further investigation will be carried out to determine the extent of the violation and to prevent similar breaches in the future.
